Community Hall of Fame 2007

The Community Advisory Boards of Thirteen/WNET New York and WLIW21 inducted 10 community organizations into its COMMUNITY HALL OF FAME in a June 27, 2007 ceremony at the Thirteen/WNET studio in Manhattan. The stations’ Community Advisory Boards have instituted the honor to recognize exemplary efforts in the fields of the arts, culture, education, and social concerns that are related to the stations’ programming and/or to the stations’ mission to educate, enlighten and inform.

The 2007 inductees are:

Museum of African American Cinema and Founder, Gregory J. Mills
NAMI Queens/Nassau
Partnership for Children’s Rights and Founder Warren J. Sinsheimer
Pro Bono Partnership, Inc. and Executive Director, Richard Hobish, Esq.
StreetSquash
Suffolk County United Veterans and its CEO, John Lynch

The Community Advisory Boards of Thirteen/WNET New York and WLIW21, comprised of members reflective of the diverse interests and needs of the tri-state region, collaborate with the stations to expand the reach of their programming, educational activities, and outreach initiatives.
