In order to help with the nation’s conversion from analog signals to digital TV signals, a government program offering more than 33.3 million coupons for a free digital converter box was instituted. So far the deadline for the digital conversion of our entire Television system is still on track for February 2009, but only 4.4 million coupons have been redeemed. That means there are still around 29 million coupons for free converters still available.
The coupons are good for $40 off a converter box or the entire cost of the box, whichever is less. To obtain a coupon for a digital converter box, go here. The coupons are good for 90 days.
